Always original Art & Design.
In the heart of the city.

Once a month, up to forty of Melbourne’s finest emerging artists, designers and makers take over the City Square, one of Naarm’s most storied civic spaces, and bring it back to life.

The Melbourne Makers’ Market is a curated, design-led market dedicated entirely to original work: handmade, locally made, and made with intention. No resellers. No franchise pop-ups. Just makers, their work, and you.

Come and find something you’ll keep forever.

What to expect

Textiles & Wearables. Ceramics & Sculpture. Print & 2D Art. Furniture & Industrial Design.

Every edition is a different mix. The Curatorial Panel selects up to forty stalls afresh each month, so there’s always something and someone new to discover. Chat to the maker behind the work. Watch a piece being finished at the stall. Buy directly from the maker.

This is what a market is supposed to feel like.
